If you suffer from extreme cases of FOMO, a social media campaign from the cruise company Royal Caribbean is making it even worse.
In conjunction with the "Come Seek Live" brand campaign from ad agency MullenLowe, Royal Caribbean is showcasing some of the cruise line's destinations by livestreaming them through Periscope, then sending edited versions of those broadcasts to digital billboards in New York City within minutes. The video series started Nov. 13 and ends Nov. 20.
The campaign lets you follow adventurous social media influencers such as YouTubers High On Life and Periscoper Dan Moore on 13 live broadcasts as they visit five islands over seven days. The streaming events included the Las Playas natural water slide in Puerto Rico, playing with green monkeys at the Wildlife Reserve in Barbados, riding ATVs in St. Maarten and enjoying beverages made by a robot at Bionic Bar on the cruise ship Anthem of the Seas.
